Belloc Posts 85.1% YoY Sales Growth in Q2, Turns to Operating Profit
On August 14, integrated information security specialist company Belloc announced its second-quarter results through a public disclosure.
In the second quarter, Belloc recorded sales of 9.6 billion KRW and an operating profit of 400 million KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 85.1%, and the company successfully turned to profitability. Belloc stated that the main drivers behind this performance improvement were the expansion of revenue from new projects and the enhancement of an efficient cost structure.
As a result, cumulative sales for the first half of the year reached 13.1 billion KRW, marking a 57% increase year-on-year and setting a new record high. The operating loss for the first half stood at 500 million KRW, representing a slight deficit. Net profit for the period was 500 million KRW, showing a significant improvement compared to the same period last year, driven by a reduction in valuation losses on investment financial products and a recovery in the profitability of investment assets.
The core factor behind this improved performance was that second-quarter sales in the security solutions segment increased by more than threefold compared to the same period last year. A Belloc representative commented, "We are maintaining solid sales growth, and if this trend continues, we expect to achieve a clear turnaround to profitability by the end of the year." He added, "Not only in security solutions but across all business segments, including security services, sales are typically concentrated in the second half of the year due to our clients' business schedules and procurement plans. Therefore, we anticipate even greater sales growth and profitability improvement in the second half compared to the first half."
