Yeongyang County has completed the restoration of agricultural production infrastructure that was damaged by the wildfire that occurred on March 25, 2025.
According to Yeongyang County, the wildfire caused damage to 14 agricultural production infrastructure sites in use, including five water tanks and 25 kilometers of agricultural water pipelines.
Additionally, as the wildfire damage occurred at the start of the main farming season, there were concerns about secondary damage, such as farmers having to give up spring farming this year due to the damage to agricultural water facilities.
In response, Yeongyang County promptly completed an investigation into the damage to agricultural production infrastructure caused by the wildfire, and placed advance orders for restoration work simultaneously with confirmation from the Central Joint Investigation Team.
The restoration work, which began in early April, prioritized the supply of agricultural water to minimize disruptions to farming during the cabbage and chili transplanting period, and as of May, restoration of all 14 sites has been completed.
