Sogang University Fosters Startups at Pangyo Digital Innovation Campus
Sogang University announced on the 29th that it has signed an agreement for startup cultivation and industry-academia cooperation at the Pangyo Digital Innovation Campus together with Motrex, Inox Advanced Materials, Strafic, and YMC.
Through this agreement, Sogang University plans to nurture startups in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and advanced mobility for 10 years in the heart of Pangyo Techno Valley.
The companies, which are in advanced industries such as mobility, semiconductors, and displays, will collaborate with Sogang University to jointly develop new technologies and establish an industry-academia cooperation model.
Sogang University students will receive entrepreneurship education at the Seoul campus, then move into the Pangyo Digital Innovation Campus to directly establish startups and create business models, gaining opportunities to attract domestic and international investment.

Shim Jong-hyuk, President of Sogang University, said, "We are now embarking on new challenges through an innovative campus that integrates research, education, and entrepreneurship in Pangyo Techno Valley," adding, "We will build an open global innovation platform in AI, semiconductors, and technology management to create a new university model that leads Korea’s future industries."
