KakaoTalk Introduces Spell Check and Translation Features for 19 Languages
KakaoTalk has added spell check and translation features.
According to industry sources on the 19th, Kakao updated KakaoTalk the day before.
The spell check feature corrects text after pressing the 'Spell Check' icon following text input. The translation feature translates 19 languages including Korean, English, Chinese, and Indonesian after pressing the translation icon following text input.
Additionally, the birthday calendar now allows users to edit schedules and send notifications aligned with friends' birthdays.
The 'Pung' section in the KakaoTalk Friends tab introduced a 'Friend Tag' feature that allows tagging up to 10 friends. Tagged friends can check the tagged content through Pung messages and navigate to other friends' profiles.

Furthermore, users can search Open Chat Lite to communicate lightly and quickly on various topics without entering chat rooms. Kakao explained that Open Chat search is also available in the Friends and Chat tabs, enabling users to find desired chat rooms easily and quickly.
