Daejeon Office of Education, Full Support for Stable College Entrance Exam Participation
Preliminary Inspection of Preparation Status for 570 Test Rooms at 35 Test Center Schools
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will provide a stable test operation and testing environment so that all examinees can fully demonstrate their abilities during the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) to be held on the 14th.
This year, the number of CSAT examinees has increased by 382 compared to last year, reaching a total of 15,462. The number of current students has increased by 379 to 10,477, while the number of graduates has decreased by 45 to 4,322. The number of examinees with a GED or other academic backgrounds has increased by 48 to 663.
The Office of Education conducted three rounds of pre-inspections at each of the 35 test site schools to check the readiness of 570 test rooms. In addition, in cooperation with related organizations such as Daejeon City Hall, Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency, Daejeon Regional Meteorological Administration, Daejeon Fire Headquarters, and Korea Electric Power Corporation, measures have been prepared for traffic management, noise prevention, test site security, and earthquake response on the day of the test.
Previously, on the 28th of last month, a briefing session on the 2025 CSAT administrative guidelines was held at the main auditorium of the Daejeon Institute of Education and Science for vice principals of test site schools, dispatched supervisors, and heads of academic affairs, so that examinees could be informed of important instructions in advance.
Meanwhile, examinees must receive their test identification slips at the location where they submitted their applications (for GED passers and examinees from other regions, at the Office of Education) at 10 a.m. on the 13th, and attend the pre-test orientation at their designated test site at 2 p.m. On the day of the CSAT, examinees must enter the test room by 8:10 a.m. regardless of whether they are taking the first period or not. The Korean History section is mandatory; if not taken, the entire CSAT score will be invalidated.
