LH Prevents 'Poor Supervision' with Supervisor Proper Wage Payment Verification System
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 4th that it will apply the 'Construction Project Management Technician (Supervisor) Appropriate Wage Payment Confirmation System' to all construction project management services ordered from this month.
This system mandates that the minimum wage for deployed technicians by grade, as presented by LH at the time of ordering, must be paid. The appropriate salary is calculated based on the daily wage by technician grade announced annually by the Korea Construction Engineering Association.
To ensure stable establishment and systematic management of the system, LH has also prepared on-site management and supervision measures. Construction engineering contractors must submit a wage payment plan for each deployed technician at the start of the service and obtain LH's approval, and submit monthly wage payment results. Through this, LH will verify whether appropriate wages are paid and impose penalties such as contract termination or bidding restrictions if not complied with.

LH expects that more than 2,000 construction project management technicians (supervisors) currently working on site will be able to receive appropriate wages through the implementation of this system. Jung Woon-seop, head of LH Smart Construction Headquarters, said, "The Appropriate Wage Payment Confirmation System is expected to help solve the issues of youth avoidance and aging technicians, induce the influx of excellent technicians, and further prevent poor supervision," adding, "We will continue to discover various system improvements and measures to enhance supervision quality."
