Will the Man in His 20s Who Assaulted a Staff Member at Pyeongsan Bookstore Be Detained? Warrant Review Scheduled
The man who assaulted an employee at Pyeongsan Bookstore in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, operated by former President Moon Jae-in, is now facing possible arrest.
Yangsan Police Station announced on the 10th that they had requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 20s, identified as A, the previous day.
According to the police, A is accused of repeatedly assaulting a female bookstore employee in her 40s at Pyeongsan Bookstore around 6:50 p.m. on the 8th, after she told him, "The store is closed, please leave."
During this incident, A reportedly demanded to meet former President Moon.
Police, responding to the report, arrested A at the scene and detained him in a holding cell while investigating his motives for the crime.
A pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) for A is scheduled to take place at Ulsan District Court on the afternoon of the 10th.
