Chung-Ang University will select 2,793 students in the 2025 early admission. Chung-Ang University has expanded the open major recruitment in some regular admission tracks and completely revamped the scholarship system to attract outstanding students.
The comprehensive student record screening will select 1,413 students, with CAU Convergence Talent, CAU Harmony, and Equal Opportunity tracks all selecting candidates based 100% on documents. The CAU Inquiry Talent track selects 3.5 times the number of candidates in the first stage based on 100% documents, then applies 70% documents and 30% interviews in the second stage to select the final successful candidates. The document evaluation applies three assessment factors: academic competency, career competency, and community competency. CAU Convergence Talent, CAU Harmony, and Equal Opportunity reflect 50% academic competency, 30% career competency, and 20% community competency. CAU Inquiry Talent applies 40% academic competency, 50% career competency, and 10% community competency. The comprehensive student record screening does not apply minimum CSAT score requirements.
The regional balanced admission track, which selects students 100% based on school records, allows up to 20 recommendations per high school and selects a total of 500 students. The Seoul campus applies minimum CSAT score requirements by department. Additionally, Chung-Ang University has expanded the open major recruitment, previously conducted only in some regional balanced admission units in early admission, to the Creative ICT College of Engineering in the third group of regular admission.
The essay screening, selecting 478 students, is based on 70% essay test and 30% school records, and applies minimum CSAT score requirements. The type of essay test varies depending on the applied department. For humanities and social sciences, three language essay questions are given; for business and economics, two language essay questions and one math essay question are given; for natural sciences, four math essay questions are given.
In the 2025 early admission, for student record-based tracks (both academic and comprehensive) and the sports talent track in practical/performance admissions, quantitative deductions will be applied for school violence measures recorded in the student record. Based on a 100-point scale, deductions are uniformly applied as follows: 0.5 points for items 1 to 3, 5 points for items 4 to 5, 7.5 points for items 6 to 7, 10 points for item 8, and 20 points for item 9.
