GS25 Offers 'Half-Price' Salads Every Friday... Promotion Throughout June
Over 20 Types of Salads 50% Off During 'GeumSal Day'
GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 7th that it will hold a "GeumSal (Friday Salad) Day" event every Friday throughout June, offering salads at half price.
This event was planned to cater to consumers who are planning diets ahead of the summer vacation season, in line with the recent "healthy pleasure" trend of enjoying health in a fun way. Additionally, it aims to contribute to price stabilization amid the recent rise in vegetable prices, which has increased consumer burden.
According to GS25, June is the month with the highest salad sales every year. Looking at the monthly sales index calculated by setting the average monthly sales over the past three years to 100, the salad sales index in June was 114, showing the highest figure.
The GeumSal Day event will be held four times this month on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. Customers can enjoy about 20 types of salads sold at GS25 every Friday at prices ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 KRW.
GS25 expects that this GeumSal Day event will provide customers preparing for this summer with an opportunity for a healthy diet while reducing the burden of high vegetable and salad prices.
Meanwhile, along with this event, GS25 will sequentially introduce an expanded lineup of cost-effective salad products and summer-limited differentiated salads every week. These include two low-priced salads in the 3,000 KRW range, three salads from the Hyeja brand, and three differentiated salads using duck, salmon, and shrimp. In particular, Hyeja salads will be offered at half price not only on Fridays but also on Thursdays, allowing customers to enjoy a 50% discount twice a week.
