In the 22nd general election, the three major terrestrial broadcasters predicted a landslide victory for the Democratic Party of Korea and its proportional party, the Democratic United Party. On the other hand, the People Power Party and the People’s Future Party were expected to have fewer seats than in the 21st National Assembly.
According to the KBS exit poll, the Democratic United Party was projected to win 178 to 196 seats. The People Power and People’s Future parties were expected to secure 87 to 105 seats. The Party for National Innovation was predicted to have 12 to 14 seats, the Reform Party 1 to 4 seats, and the New Future Party and Progressive Party 0 to 2 seats.

If the exit polls are accurate, the Democratic Party will be able to hold a majority of the seats on its own, as the entire opposition bloc is expected to have around 200 seats. The People Power Party will no longer be able to guarantee the 100 seats needed to block constitutional amendments.
