This equipment will be utilized to support domestic shipping companies expected to face operational difficulties due to greenhouse gas regulations in the shipping sector by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Since being designated as the secretariat organization of the "Eco-friendly Biofuel Activation Alliance" in October 2022, the Petroleum Management Service has strengthened cooperation with the private sector. Additionally, in September of last year, it signed a private research service contract including demonstration research in collaboration with the Bioenergy Association and others, continuing preparations for the domestic introduction of bio ship fuel.
