Seoul City Operates 'Haechi's Magic School' Visiting Children
Visit to Daycare Centers, Kindergartens, and Seoul-Style Kids Cafes
Various Programs Including Magic Bubbles and Coloring Play
Haechi, the character representing Seoul City, visits daycare centers and other places to create memories with children.
On the 5th, Seoul City announced that for about a month, Haechi will directly visit daycare centers, kindergartens, kids cafes, and other places in Seoul to listen to children's worries and wishes and plant happy thoughts through the program "Haechi's Magic School."
"Haechi's Magic School" consists of "Magic Bubble Play with Haechi," "Haechi & Soul Friends Coloring Play," and "Whispering with Haechi" sessions. In "Magic Bubble Play with Haechi," children listen to an introduction of Haechi and the story of magic bubbles, then play by popping magic bubbles (soap bubbles) that bring happiness when touched, and as much as they become happy, they stick magic bubble stickers on Haechi.
"Haechi & Soul Friends Coloring Play" is a time to receive "coloring cards" featuring the redesigned Haechi character and four Soul Friends announced last February, and color the character they like the most. The "coloring cards" come in a set of five, each containing character introductions and coloring templates tailored to children's perspectives. "Whispering with Haechi" is a time when children come up one by one to quietly share their worries or upsetting matters only with Haechi, who then traps the sad memories in magic bubbles and transforms them into happy memories to take away.
Institutions and organizations wishing to participate in "Haechi's Magic School" can apply by commenting on posts on Seoul City's official Instagram (@seoul_official) or Haechi's Instagram (@hechi.soul.friends). By leaving information about the institution (daycare center, kindergarten, school, etc.) where they want Haechi to visit and their worries in the comments, selected places will be visited directly by Haechi. On Haechi's Instagram (@hechi.soul.friends), five types of Haechi & Soul Friends coloring cards are also posted for families to print and color at home.
Participants can also submit entries to the "Creating My Own Haechi Content" contest. The contest is held under the concept of creating "Everyone's Haechi" by expressing Seoul's sensibility in the Haechi character, which wards off fire, disasters, and sadness and wishes for citizens' happiness.

Anyone aged 4 and above, both domestic and foreign, can participate. They can check the contest categories and themes according to age and submit entries by the 24th. Ma Chae-sook, Seoul City's Public Relations Planning Officer, said, "This program was planned to reinterpret the unique story of Haechi as a divine creature that wards off bad energy and brings happiness, and the historical significance of Haechi bubbles in a modern way, delivering it through stories that children can easily relate to." She added, "We ask for interest and participation so that more children can meet Haechi in person and turn their worries into happiness through Haechi's magic bubbles."
