He continued, "The Nomination Management Committee, which prioritizes morality as its first principle, will put an end to old-fashioned politics by not presenting immoral candidates to the public." He also said, "I believe the people will wisely choose whether to support the Democratic Party, which is a closed nomination system centered on Representative Lee Jae-myung, or the People Power Party, which conducts a systematic nomination process."

The People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee accepted applications until the 3rd, with a total of 849 applicants, an increase of 202 compared to the previous election.
