Icheon-si Distributes 'Instant Sales Manufacturing and Processing Business Operator Guide'
On the 1st, Icheon City in Gyeonggi-do announced that it will produce and distribute a guidebook containing compliance requirements to help instant sales manufacturing and processing business operators understand their industry.
'Instant sales manufacturing and processing business' refers to businesses that sell food directly to the final consumer from manufacturing and processing facilities in accordance with the Food Sanitation Act. A typical example of such a business is a side dish store.
The booklet includes ▲ business registration details ▲ self-quality inspection items and inspection cycles by food type ▲ labeling requirements for food, etc. ▲ major compliance items and facility standards ▲ basic rules for food safety.
The booklet also contains procedures for business registration for permits and licenses, including how to register and the required documents. Icheon City explained that it was produced in file format to allow operators to manage it conveniently.
The city plans to first distribute the booklet to existing instant sales manufacturing and processing business operators under its jurisdiction within this month, and then distribute additional copies to newly registered businesses.
