Gyeonggi-do Launches 'Food Poisoning Prevention' Campaign Targeting 800 Childcare Centers and More
Gyeonggi Province is launching a food poisoning prevention awareness campaign targeting daycare centers and similar facilities.
On the 24th, Gyeonggi Province announced that to prevent food poisoning during the spring season, it will conduct promotional activities on food poisoning prevention, including proper handling of ingredients and personal hygiene, targeting 800 vulnerable facilities such as social welfare centers and daycare centers through the 'Food Poisoning Prevention Communication Managers' until the 7th of next month.
To this end, the province has appointed a total of 64 Food Poisoning Prevention Communication Managers, selecting 2 to 4 consumer food hygiene inspectors with expertise in food sanitation from each city and county.
The main points of this campaign aimed at meal service and cooking workers include ▲guidance on hygienic and safe food preparation ▲instructions on food poisoning prevention ▲personal hygiene education ▲cleaning and disinfecting cooking utensils.
