Hanwha Q CELLS Golf Team Signs Long Hitter Kim Arim
Kim In-kyung, Shin Ji-eun, Lee Min-young, and Sung Yoo-jin Also Renew Contracts
Hanwha Q CELLS Golf Team signed Kim Ah-rim (photo) on the 19th.
Kim Ah-rim debuted on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour in 2016, achieving a total of 3 wins, and won the 2020 US Women's Open, which led her to join the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour the following year. In 2022, Kim participated in 29 LPGA Tour events and finished in the 'Top 10' four times. She ranked 5th in average driving distance (274.74 yards) and 12th in greens in regulation (74.37%). Last year, she claimed the title at the major KLPGA event, the Chris F&C 44th KLPGA Championship.
Kim Ah-rim expressed, "It is an honor to become a member of a golf team with a long-standing reputation," adding, "I want to repay the fans and the golf team's expectations with good results."
Hanwha Q CELLS Golf Team also renewed contracts with Kim In-kyung, Shin Ji-eun, Sung Yu-jin, and Lee Min-young. The team is composed of a total of nine players, including existing sponsored players Ji Eun-hee, Lee Jung-min, Kim Ji-young 2, and Heo Da-bin.
