World No. 1 Ko Jin-young (27) is focusing on practicing low trajectory shots. After finishing tied for 8th place at the Amundi Evian Championship (total prize money $6.5 million), the fourth major of the 2022 LPGA Tour season, held on the 25th (Korean time) at Evian Golf Club (par 71, 6,527 yards) in Evian-les-Bains, France, she said, "There is a tournament in Scotland in two weeks," and analyzed, "Since the course is very windy, I think shots played low will be necessary."
The LPGA Tour will hold the Trust Golf Scottish Women's Open (July 28-31) and the final major, the AIG Women's Open (August 4-7), in Scotland. Ko Jin-young, who said "there is one more major left," expressed her determination, saying, "I want to prepare my best," and "Since it is the last major tournament, I will do my best to play well." Ko Jin-young added 2 under par on the final day of the Evian Championship, achieving her fifth top 10 finish this year.
