Former President Moon Submits Complaint Over Residence Protest: "Punishment Needed for Illegal Acts"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Former President Moon Jae-in, who has expressed discomfort over protests near his residence after his retirement, submitted a complaint to the police on the 31st.
According to the Yangsan Police Station in Gyeongnam, former President Moon and his wife filed a complaint through their representatives against four individuals, including members of three conservative groups, on the same day.
The complaint states that the accused committed illegal acts while holding assemblies in front of the residence and seeks punishment for these actions.
The specific allegations include insult and defamation by repeatedly spreading abusive language and false information.
Additionally, violations of the Assembly and Demonstration Act were cited for holding assemblies that clearly threatened public peace, including murder and arson threats and collective intimidation.
