Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, posted on his Facebook on the 5th, saying, "I heard that those who tested positive for COVID-19 experienced many inconveniences during the voting process today," and added, "Ensuring voting rights is the top priority."
He continued, "The Election Commission and authorities must take thorough measures to prevent the recurrence of inconveniences and confusion for confirmed cases during the main voting on the 9th."
After posting this message, Candidate Lee has not yet issued any further statements regarding early voting.
Yoon Seok-youl, the People Power Party presidential candidate, raised the level of criticism on the 6th, saying, "If the Election Commission rots, democracy collapses."
