On the 5th, the National Election Commission announced this. Compared to the same time frame, this figure is 10.35 percentage points higher than the 19th presidential election in 2017 (24.34%) and 9.74 percentage points higher than the 2020 general election (24.95%).
From 6 a.m. the previous day when early voting began until 5 p.m. on this day, out of a total of 44,197,692 registered voters, 15,332,972 had cast their votes.
The region with the highest early voting rate at the same time was Jeonnam (49.48%), followed by Jeonbuk (46.39%) and Gwangju (45.72%). On the other hand, areas with lower turnout rates included Gyeonggi-do (31.33%), Daegu (31.74%), and Incheon (31.86%).

Early voting can be done at 3,552 early voting stations nationwide with just an ID card, without any separate registration. Early voting stations have also been set up at Seoul Station, Yongsan Station, and Incheon International Airport. Locations of early voting stations can be checked on the National Election Commission website (www.nec.go.kr), portal sites, and the 'Election Information' mobile application.
