After signing an agreement with the taxi industry to prepare support measures, he visited Gangnam Station and Jamsilsaenae Station, which have high foot traffic, to appeal for support.
At the agreement ceremony with the taxi industry held at the National Private Taxi Mutual Aid Association on Yeoksam-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Lee said, "I empathize with the difficulties faced by the taxi industry due to the worsening transportation environment," and promised, "We will prepare support measures such as fairizing taxi call platforms and improving fare system regulations." On this day, the taxi industry demanded improvements in the labor environment for transportation workers, support for the mutual development of the taxi industry and platform industry, and measures to revitalize taxi usage. Representatives from four taxi organizations, including the National Taxi Labor Union Federation, the National Democratic Taxi Labor Union, the National Private Taxi Transport Business Association Federation, and the National Taxi Transport Business Association Federation, attended the ceremony.

View original imageThrough campaigning in Gangnam and Songpa, Lee plans to imprint the image of a president of coexistence and economy. In particular, in addition to "crisis overcoming and economic/integrated president," he brought up the keywords "youth opportunity nation" and "self-employed/small business owners." With COVID-19 cases exceeding 90,000, his message of "becoming the general commander to overcome the crisis, defeating COVID-19, and restoring daily life" strengthens his image as a competent policymaker, superior to candidate Yoon. At the Gangnam Station campaign site visited during lunchtime, he mentioned ▲restoring fairness in the stock market ▲expanding the virtual asset market ▲realizing a top 5 economic power ▲achieving a national income of $50,000 and a stock index of 5,000, appealing for the construction of a "youth opportunity nation" and support for small business owners. At the Jamsilsaenae Station plaza during the evening rush hour, he is expected to mention ▲national integration ▲COVID-19 overcoming ▲support for small business owners, along with solutions to real estate issues such as expanding the loan-to-value ratio (LTV) to 90%.

Lee chose Seoul Gangnam as his second campaign area since the start of the official election campaign because he judged that public sentiment had accelerated its shift after the crushing defeat in the April 7 by-elections last year. Although it is a key battleground in this presidential election, his support rate is lagging behind. According to a poll conducted by Realmeter commissioned by OhmyNews from the 6th to the 11th, Lee's support rate in Seoul was 33.6%, trailing candidate Yoon Seok-youl's 47.3% by 13.7 percentage points, which is outside the margin of error. Candidate Ahn Cheol-soo received 7.3% support (nationwide 3,040 men and women aged 18 and over, margin of error ±1.8% at 95% confidence level, response rate 11.2%. Mixed wireless phone interviews, wireless, wired, and automated responses; details available on the Central Election Poll Deliberation Commission website). The number of voters is second only to Gyeonggi Province, so the direction of voter sentiment can determine the outcome of the presidential election. According to the Central Election Management Committee, based on the 2020 21st general election, the number of voters in Seoul was 8,465,419 (19.3%), second only to Gyeonggi Province (11,061,850; 25.2%).
