ViewRun Technology, Backed by Naver, Secures Another 10 Billion KRW Investment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] ViewRun Technology, a startup specializing in autonomous driving 3D LiDAR solutions that received investment from Naver's startup nurturing organization D2SF, has secured 10 billion KRW in a Pre-A round of funding.
According to D2SF on the 26th, new investors in this round include Daesung Venture Investment, HGI, KDB Industrial Bank, Timefolio, and InterValue, while existing investor Bon Angels Venture Partners also continued with follow-up investments.
ViewRun Technology is a LiDAR technology startup. Shortly after its founding, it attracted initial investments from Naver D2SF and Bon Angels, gaining industry attention. It became the world's first to obtain a provisional autonomous driving license from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport using only a single LiDAR sensor, and demonstrated its technological competitiveness by successfully achieving 100% autonomous driving without driver intervention on the Seoul-Busan route. Currently, it supplies solutions for unmanned ships, unmanned forklifts, and unmanned delivery robots to its clients.
ViewRun Technology currently has strategic partnerships with global LiDAR sensor companies such as Velodyne, Ouster, Innoviz, and AEye. It is also actively collaborating with domestic and international mobility companies, including the Korean autonomous driving startup StradVision and Nexty Electronics Group, a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho, expanding its business.
Leveraging this investment, ViewRun Technology plans to actively respond to the rapidly increasing demand for LiDAR solutions, aggressively secure talent, and enter the global market.
