Kim Yeon-su, Hancom CEO, First Shareholder Letter: "We Will Become a Service Company Offering Convenience"
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kim Yeonsu, CEO of Hancom, who marked his 100th day in office, announced on the 22nd through his first shareholder letter that he aims to become a service company presenting "Pyeolli-Daime (Convenience + Paradigm)."
CEO Kim emphasized business directions such as launching a new subscription service centered on Web Hangeul, entering the AI leisure information service business, expanding business-to-consumer (B2C) services, expanding business-to-business (B2B) solutions, launching the metaverse-based 'Hancom Town,' and entering the global Software as a Service (SaaS) market.
CEO Kim plans to start by introducing a new subscription service centered on cloud-based 'Web Hangeul' in the first half of next year, expanding document services. He also revealed plans to acquire the startup 'MadX Company' to launch a service that automatically supports the generation and consumption of leisure-related information using AI technology. Through 'Urban Digital Marketing,' a digital marketing specialist company acquired last month, Hancom will nurture marketing investment as a new business and actively enter the B2C market. In the B2B sector, Hancom will accelerate market expansion through aggressive collaboration strategies such as securing exclusive sales rights for NHN Dooray and forming a joint venture with Cyworld.

CEO Kim said, "Internally at Hancom, we are rapidly changing the organizational culture through changes in organizational structure, active talent recruitment, and open communication," adding, "Starting with this first shareholder letter, we will communicate with shareholders every six months about what changes Hancom is attempting and what achievements it is making."
