[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, has taken on a bet involving food to encourage party members to vote in the party’s presidential candidate selection.
On the 31st, Lee posted on his Facebook, urging, "So that the Republic of Korea preparing for tomorrow does not leave you out, all party members, please participate in the mobile voting starting from 9 a.m. tomorrow morning."
He continued, "A text message containing the link will be sent in the morning," and promised, "If the voter turnout exceeds 70%, I will cut out carbohydrates for a month."

The final candidate will be chosen by combining 50% of the party members’ votes and 50% of the public opinion poll results.
