G-STAR 2021 Opens on November 17... Kakao Games Named Main Sponsor
[Asia Economy, reporter Boo Aeri] G-STAR, the global game exhibition that connected with fans worldwide online last year due to the impact of COVID-19, will resume its offline exhibition this year.
The G-STAR Organizing Committee unveiled the main programs for the event on October 12. G-STAR will take place at BEXCO in Busan from October 17 to 21. This year, Kakao Games is the main sponsor.
G-STAR 2021 will feature a total of 1,221 booths. Participating companies include Kakao Games, Krafton, Gravity, Shift Up, and Angel Games. The three major companies, NCSoft, Nexon, and Netmarble (known as 3N), will not participate.
The number of participating companies has decreased by 50% this year. The organizing committee accepted applications up to a maximum of 60% of previous years in order to implement COVID-19 prevention measures.
The official slogan for G-STAR 2021 is "Here comes the game again, Nice to meet you again." This reflects the resumption of the offline exhibition, which had been suspended due to COVID-19, and the desire to reconnect with fans.
