Jin Joong-kwon: "Joseong-eun's Chatroom Must Have Had a Reason to Be Blown Up"… Joseong-eun: "Don't Worry"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon raised doubts, saying he "does not understand" former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's 'reporting bribery' suspect informant Jo Seong-eun's claim that she destroyed the Telegram chat room she had with Kim Woong, a member of the People Power Party.
On the 15th, Jin shared a related article on his Facebook and pointed out, "Why destroy the chat room and damage the evidentiary value yourself?" He added, "There must have been a reason why it had to be done that way," and asked, "Why did it have to be like that?"
Earlier that day, Jo stated on her Facebook, "I have the Telegram chat source in its original digital form and have submitted all of it to the investigative authorities."
She continued, "The fact that Prosecutor Son Jun-sung and others sent the materials via chat on the relevant date has been proven as factual because it has undergone digital forensic processes and authenticity verification," explaining, "(The forensic and evidence verification process) is a recognized proof process in our country's investigative agencies and courts. It is not a fact that loses validity just because it has gone through political disputes and procedural evidence verification." She added, "I hope the opposition party and Yoon Seok-yeol's campaign do not make a mockery of the judicial system of the Republic of Korea."
In response, former professor Jin left a comment on Jo's post, saying, "Why did you destroy the chat room? I heard it lowers the evidentiary value."

Jo replied, "It’s not destruction; the original digital records of the entire conversation were saved before the report. We have submitted complex, multi-dimensional, and sufficient evidence through methods recognized as admissible in ordinary trials. Since these digital records are not just one, I don’t think you need to worry," she retorted.
