Chairman Chung Eui-sun Returns to U.S. Business Trip After Two Months for 'Business Review'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Chung Euisun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, has embarked on a business trip to the United States again after two months.
According to the automotive industry on the 13th, Chairman Chung departed from Seoul Gimpo International Airport in the afternoon on a Hyundai Motor Group private jet.
This is his first visit to the U.S. in about two months since his approximately one-week business trip in mid-April.
During that trip, Chairman Chung visited places such as LA and Alabama, and this time he is expected to inspect the U.S. East Coast market.
The U.S. East Coast, including New York and Boston, is home to key hubs for Hyundai Motor Group's future new businesses such as autonomous vehicles and robotics being promoted in the U.S.
Last month, Hyundai Motor decided to invest $7.4 billion, approximately 8.2 trillion KRW, by 2025 in local electric vehicle production and expansion of production facilities in the U.S.
