Korea Tourism Organization Selects 25 Safe Summer Contactless Tourist Destinations Including 'Metasequoia Forest Road'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 8th that it has selected the ‘25 Summer Contactless Safe Tourist Destinations’ where people can spend the hot summer safely and coolly.
The regions selected as summer contactless safe tourist destinations include Metasequoia Forest Road (Mapo-gu, Seoul), Janghang Wetland (Goyang, Gyeonggi), Gulupdo Island (Ongjin, Incheon), National Cheongtaesan Natural Recreation Forest (Hoengseong, Gangwon), Deokbongsan Coastal Ecological Trail (Samcheok, Gangwon), Galonggugok (Goesan, Chungbuk), Nagok Beach (Uljin, Gyeongbuk), Gajisan Soejomgol Valley Trail (Miryang, Gyeongnam), Gucheon-dong Eosagil (Muju, Jeonbuk), Unilam Banilam Forest Trail (Jinan, Jeonbuk), and 4est Arboretum (Haenam, Jeonnam), totaling 25 places. Mainly, places with low congestion such as seas, islands, valleys, and forests that are attractive summer vacation spots were selected. An official from the Tourism Organization advised, "Since there may be sudden restrictions on entry depending on the COVID-19 situation, it is essential to check detailed information such as opening status, opening hours, and viewing methods before visiting," and added, "It is also necessary to check the safe travel guide for each travel route according to ‘social distancing in daily life’ introduced on the safe travel page of the website."
