Profile Pictures Appear When Commenting on Naver News
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Starting from the 13th, profile pictures set by users will be displayed when they comment on Naver News.
Naver announced on the 4th, "To make it easier to identify commenters and to promote better communication among users, we will also display the set profile pictures alongside the article comment lists."
Since March of last year, Naver has provided profile information through the comment collection page.
However, there were opinions that it was difficult to recognize users in article comments because only the first four characters of masked IDs were shown instead of profile pictures.
Naver has implemented policy changes whenever controversies related to news arose. In response to malicious comment issues, it stopped comments on entertainment news in March last year, and in October of the same year, it abolished the 'Most Viewed News' section and revamped the news service to display the most viewed news by each media outlet.
