On the 9th, Naver announced that it signed a "Mutual Agreement for Promoting Digital Innovation Projects" with Woori Bank. The two companies plan to first apply the Naver Certificate to university portal services and collaborate to build smart campuses incorporating non-face-to-face financial services.
Additionally, they will discuss content development and joint marketing for the MZ generation (born early 1980s to early 2000s), as well as digital transformation in various fields such as middle and high schools and hospitals.
Once the smart campus project is completed, enrolled students and faculty members at the respective universities will be able to use online simple authentication through the "Naver Certificate." They will also be able to use services such as student ID, access control, and tuition payment. It is expected that the Naver student ID will be used as an identity verification method on platforms like Naver Expert and Band.
Naver plans to prepare services that link qualifications and academic information obtained by university students to assist with employment. Woori Bank will provide various financial services such as simple payments and remittances exclusively for university students and faculty, as well as offer specialized financial products.
