BTS's 'BE' New Version Album Tops Japan Oricon Daily Chart Upon Release
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] The group BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) topped the Japanese Oricon Daily Album Chart simultaneously with the release of the ‘BE (Essential Edition)’ album.
According to the latest chart released by Oricon on the 20th, the new version of 'BE,' the 'Essential Edition,' sold approximately 92,000 copies on the day before its release, securing the number one spot on the Oricon Daily Album Chart. BTS previously achieved first place on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart in December last year with the 'Deluxe Edition' of 'BE.'
‘BE (Essential Edition)’ is an album presented by BTS as a token of gratitude to their global fans who made history together, including reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and being nominated for the ‘2021 Grammy Awards.’ It contains a total of eight tracks, including the title song ‘Life Goes On,’ ‘Traveling on My Room,’ ‘Blue & Grey,’ ‘Skit,’ ‘Stay,’ ‘병 (Byeong),’ ‘잠시 (Jamshi),’ and ‘Dynamite.’
Ahead of the album release, BTS revealed ‘Curated for ARMY,’ prepared for fans worldwide to commemorate the new album, on BigHit’s official website. The seven members personally decorated ‘ARMY’s Room’ and added hand-drawn prop images along with voice audio guides, receiving great responses.
