"Stay Cozy at Home This Lunar New Year Holiday" SW·AI Education Event Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Seol Seulgina] To celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday, an SW·Artificial Intelligence (AI) education event using the online software (SW) education platform ‘Ebsw (ebssw.kr)’ will be held.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Educational Broadcasting System announced on the 8th that they will hold ‘This Lunar New Year, Even if You Feel Subsub (Seopseop), Stay Home’ from the 10th to the 14th.
‘Ebsw (ebssw.kr)’ is an online education platform that provides customized SW education lectures and practice environments for all citizens. Anyone can freely access 671 video learning materials related to AI and SW, as well as 179 online courses (2,800 sessions).
This event has prepared three educational courses by age group so that family members of all ages, from young children to seniors, can participate. Accounts are linked as family members, and the more family members who complete the courses (up to 3 people), the better the prizes they can enter to win.
‘Children and Adolescents: Let’s Play with Software’ consists of a program to learn the basics of algorithms in a game format, basic computer usage (for elementary school students), and video learning materials to understand the basic concepts of AI. ‘University Students and Youth: Knowing the Present to See the Future’ includes a program to learn the basics of algorithms in a game format, basics of computer science, changes in current industries brought by SW, and concepts and principles of AI. ‘Middle-aged and Older: For Myself and My Child’ includes a program to learn the basics of algorithms in a game format, computational thinking and the necessity of SW education, directions for SW education, and smartphone usage (for seniors).
