The Korea Council for College Education (KCCE) announced the key details of the "2021 Academic Year Specialized College Regular Admissions" on the 29th.
The total number of regular admission slots for specialized colleges nationwide in the 2021 academic year is 25,447, which is a 13.6% decrease compared to the 2020 academic year. If there are unfilled slots resulting from the early admissions scheduled until the 6th of next month, the actual number of regular admission slots may increase.
The "Nursing and Health" field recruits the most students with 5,247 slots (20.6%). This is followed by "Mechanical and Electrical Electronics" with 4,886 slots (19.2%), "Hotel and Tourism" with 3,789 slots (14.9%), and "Accounting, Taxation, and Distribution" with 2,251 slots (8.8%).
The KCCE advised that when selecting a major at a college, applicants must check detailed information about the major at the college they are applying to, as the duration of study may vary between 2 to 3 years even if the major name is the same.
In particular, for the nursing department, 84 colleges offer a 4-year program, while 1 college offers a 3-year program, so examinees intending to major in nursing should definitely verify the school information.
There are no special restrictions on applying to multiple colleges during the specialized college regular admissions. However, students who have been accepted to even one school through early admissions cannot apply for regular admissions.
