Korea Technology Group to Change Company Name to 'Korea & Company Corporation'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Technology Group, the holding company of Hankook Tire, is set to change its name to 'Hankook & Company.'
Hankook Technology Group announced on the 14th through a public disclosure that it will convene a shareholders' meeting on the 29th. The agenda for this meeting includes a proposal to amend the articles of incorporation to change the current name, 'Hankook Technology Group Co., Ltd.,' to 'Hankook & Company Co., Ltd.' If the proposal is approved at the shareholders' meeting, the new name will be applied immediately.
Hankook Technology Group is currently engaged in a legal dispute over the company name with Hankook Technology, a KOSDAQ-listed company with the same name. Previously, the court partially accepted an injunction request filed by Hankook Technology to prohibit the use of the name.
