View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is promoting a parking lot construction project using leftover land in the residential area of Sangdo-dong until the end of this month.
This project is being carried out to secure insufficient parking spaces by utilizing leftover land or vacant lots near residential areas and to resolve residents' inconveniences through parking environment improvement.
The target land is a 192㎡ vacant lot at Sangdo-dong 214-161, and a total of 4 sides will be developed into parking lots.
The district signed an agreement with the landowner in November for the "Installation and Management of Leftover Land Parking Lots" and plans to complete the parking lot construction by the end of the year and open and operate it for residents starting January next year.
The Dongjak-gu Facilities Management Corporation will be entrusted with operation, and the usage fee is 65,000 KRW per month, available 24 hours.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Parking Management Division.
So far, parking lots using leftover land in the area include three locations with 20 spaces in total: ▲ Sadang 2-dong 333-1 ▲ Sadang 2-dong 44-117 ▲ Sindaebang 1-dong 596.
In addition, the district is promoting the "Attached Parking Lot Sharing Project." Building owners who open their attached parking lots for residents to use during low-utilization hours are provided with incentives such as parking facility improvement costs.
Last year, many open facilities near Sangdo-dong, where there are many houses, were discovered and a total of 91 spaces were opened, securing a total of 599 parking spaces at 24 locations to date.
