Dongmyeong University Wins Minister of Education Award at Industry-Academia Cooperation Excellence Competition

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongmyung University (President Jeong Hong-seop) LINC+ Project Group (Director Shin Dong-seok) won the Minister of Education Award at the 2020 Industry-Academia Cooperation Best Practice Competition hosted by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
Dongmyung University announced on the 13th that it won the Minister of Education Award for the second consecutive year on December 2nd in the human resource development category of this 'Industry-Academia Cooperation Competition.'
Among 64 institutions and organizations that submitted applications for this year's competition, Dongmyung University ranked within the top 6 out of 37 entries in the human resource development field and received the Minister's Award.
The participating case titled "Beyond the Region, Achieving Dreams through Cooperation! On-site Training Brokerage HUB" is a program that opens its doors to university students from other regions (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Daegu-Gyeongbuk, Honam) and brokers on-site training at specialized companies in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) area.
The LINC+ Project Group's On-site Training Brokerage HUB Center has brokered and matched 102 students from 40 universities to 52 companies in the southeastern region over the past three years.
It has established a feedback system by conducting satisfaction surveys showing high satisfaction rates of 82% among participating students and 96% among participating companies.
So far, 22 universities from other regions, including Sungkyunkwan University, Ewha Womans University, Cheongju University, Seowon University, Dankook University, Korea National University of Transportation, Hanbat National University, Gangneung-Wonju National University, and Handong Global University, have signed agreements with 44 companies specialized in the southeastern region such as Busan New Port Co., Paradise Hotel Busan, KNN, BTN Buddhist Broadcasting TV, and BEXCO.
