On the same day, Woo appeared on TBS's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' and pointed out, "Prosecutor General Yoon is the leading presidential candidate of the opposition party, so why is the opposition's presidential candidate using the position of Prosecutor General to obstruct everything our government is trying to do?"
He continued, "If Prosecutor General Yoon has even a slight intention of becoming the opposition's presidential candidate, he should stop discussing procedural disciplinary issues and voluntarily step down to start his political career within the opposition."
He added, "It is disruptive to the nation for a presidential candidate to sit in the Prosecutor General's seat and fight with our Minister of Justice," and directed toward the People Power Party, "Take him quickly. It's so annoying."
In response, Hong Moon-pyo, a member of the People Power Party who appeared on the broadcast together, said, "How can you blame the opposition when two people appointed by President Moon Jae-in are fighting?" and retorted, "What is Prosecutor General Yoon? Whether to take him or not is up to you."
Then Woo said, "Contact each other and take good care of him. Opposition lawmakers have been exchanging information with the prosecution, but we have no prosecution information at all."
Hearing this, Hong criticized, "Once Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae resigns, it will be over," and asked, "Why are you holding on to this?"
Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee reviewing the disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon began on the 10th. This is the first time in constitutional history that the Ministry of Justice has requested disciplinary action against the Prosecutor General, leading to the convening of the Disciplinary Committee.
The Disciplinary Committee entered a closed deliberation at 10:40 a.m. on the 7th floor of the Ministry of Justice building in Gwacheon. The committee will review six allegations of misconduct cited by Minister Chu as grounds for disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon: △ inappropriate meetings with media company owners △ illegal surveillance of judges in major trials, including the former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk case △ obstruction of inspection and investigation related to the Channel A case and former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook case △ external leakage of inspection information related to the Channel A case △ violation of the obligation to cooperate with face-to-face inspection and obstruction of inspection △ and damage to political neutrality as Prosecutor General.
