LG HelloVision-LG Sangnam Library to Provide Science Education Content VOD on HelloTV
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG HelloVision announced on the 10th that it will provide scientific education content from LG Sangnam Library through its cable TV service 'HelloTV'.
LG HelloVision subscribers can access LG Sangnam Library's content directly through the HelloTV Special Zone and the Kids' Land menu. LG HelloVision also collaborated with LG Sangnam Library to introduce popular content from LG Science Land to HelloTV. LG Science Land is a science portal site operated by LG Sangnam Library.
In HelloTV's 'Science Land Special Zone' and 'Kids' Land' menus, a total of 265 scientific education video-on-demand (VOD) programs will be provided sequentially. The zone is composed of three categories: 'Science Songs,' 'Science in Motion,' and 'Discoveries in Daily Life.'
Shim Woo-seop, director of LG Sangnam Library, said, "Amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, which has made experiential learning difficult, we are pleased to provide children with opportunities for non-face-to-face science experiences through cooperation with LG HelloVision." He added, "By expanding the media for content use to TV, we expect to greatly contribute to bridging educational gaps between social classes and regions."

Jang Sang-gyu, executive director of LG HelloVision's Consumer Business Group, stated, "We consider it meaningful that we have created an environment where quality science education content is easily accessible through HelloTV." He added, "We will introduce various content to HelloTV with the goal of expanding educational opportunities using TV."
