Han Seong-sook, Naver CEO, Named 'Most Influential Woman in the World' for 4 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Han Seong-suk, CEO of Naver, ranked 36th on Fortune's list of the "World's Most Influential Women Leaders."
According to Naver on the 6th, this is the fourth time Han has appeared on this list. She has been listed every year since 2017.
Fortune explained the reason for selecting Han, stating, "Since becoming Naver's first female CEO in 2017, she has expanded services such as simple payment, e-commerce, and cloud services," adding, "As consumers shifted to digital platforms due to the pandemic, Naver's operating profit in the second quarter of this year increased by 16.7% compared to the previous year, showing strong performance."
Fortune also noted, "The outlook for Naver's cloud business is particularly bright," adding, "Cloud division sales in the second quarter grew 70% year-over-year, contributing to a quarterly net profit of $76 million."
