Renault Samsung Motors 'NEW QM6' Sells 2,790 Units in 18 Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Samsung Motors' mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) QM6 style upgrade model ‘NEW QM6’ has sold 2,790 units in 18 days.
According to Renault Samsung Motors on the 25th, the NEW QM6, launched on the 6th of this month, is showing faster sales performance compared to last year's model THE NEW QM6. THE NEW QM6, launched in June last year, sold 1,612 units including pre-orders over 21 days, while the NEW QM6 sold 2,790 units in 18 days until the 23rd, marking a 73% increase compared to last year's model performance.
In particular, the higher trims RE Signature and Premiere lines accounted for about 44% of all customers. Among them, the proportion of customers who chose the newly added top trim Premiere line for the NEW QM6 LPe model, the only domestic LPG SUV, was about 11%. This is more than double the approximately 5% share of the existing GDe Premiere in the overall ratio.

Kim Tae-jun, Head of Sales at Renault Samsung Motors, said, “Currently, the proportion of customers choosing the top trim of the NEW QM6 is 44%, which means there is a large customer base waiting for this model,” adding, “If this trend continues, the number of NEW QM6 buyers is expected to keep increasing in December, and we will strive even harder to meet the expectations of these customers.”
