'Galaxy Note 21' Not Releasing Next Year...? Growing Rumors of Discontinuation
Ice Universe "No news on Galaxy Note21 development"
Also missing from next year's expected flagship lineup
Max Weinbach "Galaxy S21 Ultra, Fold 2 models support S Pen"
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] There are forecasts that the Galaxy Note series will not be released next year. Starting with equipping the Galaxy S21 with a pen, it seems that discontinuing the Note series is also being considered to popularize foldable phones.
On the 16th (local time), IT tipster Ice Universe stated on Twitter, "So far, no information has been obtained regarding the development of the Galaxy Note 21."
Usually, information about smartphones in development starts to surface 6 to 8 months before release, so the lack of information about the Galaxy Note 21 can be interpreted as considering discontinuation. Since early this year, there have been forecasts within the domestic smartphone industry that the Note series will disappear starting next year.
There is also news that the Galaxy Note 21 will be excluded from next year's flagship lineup. Another tipster who quickly delivers information about new smartphones, Max Weinbach, also did not include the Galaxy Note 21 when listing next year's Galaxy lineup.
He explained, "Samsung's flagship products expected to be released next year are the Galaxy S21 FE, three Galaxy S21 models, Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, and Galaxy Z Fold FE," adding, "Among these, three devices will support the S Pen."
With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold3, and Galaxy Z Fold FE supporting the S Pen, it is analyzed that the Note series will naturally phase out.
