"Taekjin Hyung, Why Are You Coming Out There?" Surprise Appearance in Lineage 2M Advertisement
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NCSoft, made a surprise appearance in the 1st anniversary commercial of 'Lineage 2M'.
On the 12th, Kim appeared as a blacksmith in the 'Lineage 2M Special Video' posted on NCSoft's official YouTube channel.
The video shows a woman named Yoo Da-hee walking down the street, hearing someone call out "Dahee," and opening a door to reveal blacksmiths. Yoo Da-hee is a kind of gaming term. It is a Korean name-like expression of the in-game death screen message 'YOU DIED'.
Kim appeared as one of these blacksmiths. He dyed his hair yellow and appeared in medieval attire, drawing laughter. Lee Sung-gu, the general producer who led the development of Lineage 2M, Baek Seung-wook, the head of development, and Kim Nam-joon, the PD, also appeared alongside Kim.
This is not Kim's first appearance in a commercial. He also appeared in the 2017 'Lineage M' commercial, gaining a friendly image among the public. Kim is more often called by the nickname 'Taekjin hyung'. Later, he also appeared in a commercial last year where, when asked "Taekjin hyung, did you stay up all night?" he replied, "I woke up early and am working," which became a hot topic.
