On the 27th, after a meeting with People Power Party lawmakers and a discussion on the gaming industry at NCSoft's headquarters located in Pangyo Techno Valley, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Kim told reporters, "I have no intention whatsoever of entering politics."
Kim has continuously appeared on the list of potential political recruits. Because of this, some interpreted Kim Jong-in's visit as an effort to recruit talent.
Kim Jong-in was also reserved in his remarks that day. When reporters asked if he planned to meet Kim again, he replied, "Is there a need to meet again?"
Regarding rumors that Kim Taek-jin is being considered as a candidate for the Seoul mayoral by-election, Kim Jong-in said, "If there is something specific to ask about companies, I can meet, but otherwise, there is no particular reason to meet."
Meanwhile, Kim Taek-jin explained the overall gaming industry to lawmakers belonging to the People Power Party's Special Committee on Future Industry Jobs and asked for their interest.
In his opening remarks, Kim said, "Technically defined, the gaming industry is a business that creates digital actors," adding, "It is an industry that not only creates characters raised within games but also actors who can perform digitally."
