Cho Hee-yeon, Superintendent of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, revealed this on the 7th by sharing a text message he sent to principals on his Facebook.
Superintendent Cho said, "Please maintain the current academic operation plan next week (October 12?16) and use the period afterward as preparation for future operations."
The Ministry of Education and quarantine authorities are currently discussing whether to ease attendance restrictions after the 12th. Due to the delay in the education authorities' announcement, the field was uncertain about the academic schedule for the upcoming week.
He added, "As guided through the Education Support Office yesterday (the 6th), the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' social distancing level and the Ministry of Education's academic operation plan announcement are scheduled for later this week after the Chuseok holiday special quarantine period," and said, "Once announced, we will implement the official document immediately."
