Hong Jun-pyo "License Revoked for Drive-Thru Rally? Seems the Regime Is Fading"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Independent lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo criticized the government's policy to ban the Gaecheonjeol rally, questioning, "What does a drive-thru rally have to do with COVID-19?"
On the night of the 27th, Hong stated on his Facebook, "Why is a vehicle protest rally a reason for license cancellation? Seeing the Prime Minister's announcement, who doesn't even know the basics of legal theory, it seems the regime is coming to an end."
Earlier, Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said regarding the drive-thru rally movement on Gaecheonjeol, "We will arrest on site and respond with a zero-tolerance policy including driver's license suspension," urging, "Related organizations should withdraw their rally plans even now."
In response, Hong criticized, "If you were that scared, why did you act recklessly?"
Regarding the North Korean notification about the shooting of our government official, he said, "Why distort and announce that it is an apology from Kim Jong-un when it is just a note taken from the United Front Department's contact, not an apology from Kim Jong-un, and is this regime trying to bury the lives of the people with that? Is this the government of the Republic of Korea?" He added, "I truly doubt whether such a contact even came."
Finally, Hong added, "A holiday night filled with anger alongside the people at the absurd behavior of the Moon Jae-in regime."
