Reports of 'Tap Water Larvae' Found Two Days in a Row in Ansan... Analysis Requested from Expert Agency
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it is investigating after receiving reports from residents of a multi-family housing complex in Sangnok-gu that objects resembling larvae appeared in tap water for two consecutive days.
The resident reported on the morning of the 8th that larvae appeared in the tap water, and again on the night of the 9th, live larvae were found in the shower faucet filter in the bathroom.
After receiving the report, Ansan City went to the site and collected the live larvae. The city requested analysis from a specialized institution to determine whether the larvae are of the same type as the chironomid larvae recently found and problematic in the tap water around Incheon. The analysis results are expected in 3 to 4 days.
