'KAIST 50th Anniversary' Spotlighted by International Academic Journals
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced on the 3rd that the renowned international journal 'Advanced Materials' has published a 50th Anniversary special issue (50th Anniversary of KAIST) in February next year, marking KAIST's 50th anniversary. The issue focuses on KAIST's innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence sensors, bio, and next-generation semiconductors.
This special issue was edited by Professor Geonjae Lee of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, highlighting KAIST's research strategies along with review papers from 17 KAIST professors. It introduced KAIST as a world-leading research institution, having published more than 200 papers in this journal over the past 10 years.
In particular, representative papers covered topics such as an artificial intelligence flexible piezoelectric voice sensor with a high speaker recognition rate of 98%, two-dimensional materials (2D materials) for energy applications, advanced optogenetics technology, nano-material-based precision cancer medicine, flexible devices and material technologies, and disordered optics technology using multiple light scattering. Alongside these, the active technology commercialization and startup activities of professors based on their original research achievements were also introduced.
