On the 20th, Jeonbuk Province announced that it had issued an administrative order mandating the submission of passenger lists for charter buses and the preparation of passenger lists.
The administrative order requiring the submission of passenger lists is intended for early screening of rally participants for diagnostic testing. Drivers, guides, and bus company officials operating charter buses in the Seoul area must submit passenger lists.
Additionally, for charter buses that are not regular transportation vehicles, the preparation of passenger lists must be mandatory from this day (the 20th) when operating.
The province plans to identify mobile phone contacts received at metropolitan area base stations around the rally on the day through cooperation with telecommunications companies and others.
Through this, if it is determined that bus operators related to the August 15 rally evade or refuse to submit lists, punitive or fine regulations will be applied considering damages occurring during the period due to delayed testing.
Also, strong recommendations will be made to refrain from rallies and to promote non-face-to-face worship services until this weekend, and the province along with city and county governments will conduct extensive inspections on compliance with personal quarantine rules.
Furthermore, this weekend will be designated as a day of focused inspections to block additional community transmission, and all employees of the province and city/county governments will conduct thorough inspections of 14,305 locations across 26 industries with frequent travel to the metropolitan area and high-risk group infection facilities.
