View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Xiaomi, the epitome of cost-effectiveness, has released the 5G smartphone 'Mi 10 Lite 5G,' which is cheaper than products with similar specifications. Thanks to its excellent camera performance, it is perfect for consumers who prioritize photography. The challenge is to overcome the prejudice of domestic consumers who have strong distrust toward Chinese smartphones.
The Mi 10 Lite 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 765 chipset, the same as the LG Velvet, but its price is about half. The screen is 6.57 inches and supports FHD (1080X2400) resolution. When watching videos such as on YouTube in full horizontal screen, low-resolution videos gave the impression of somewhat blurred image quality. The speaker is located at the bottom of the device, so care must be taken not to block it with your hand when holding it horizontally.
Although it is a product in the 400,000 KRW range, it boasts performance beyond expectations thanks to its quad camera setup. The rear camera specifications are 48MP (main), 8MP (ultra-wide), 2MP (macro), and 2MP (depth). Especially when shooting at night, it appropriately adjusts brightness and other factors, making the results feel satisfactory. However, since there is no image stabilization feature, it was somewhat difficult to shoot moving subjects in low-light conditions.
It also includes video features specialized for those who enjoy short-form videos. By selecting the 'Short Video' mode, you can shoot a 15-second video, and the 'Kaleidoscope' feature allows you to split the screen diagonally or vertically/horizontally for shooting. It also supports 'Dual Mode,' which records simultaneously with the front and rear cameras. Video shooting is possible in macro mode as well. The time-lapse setting can be used from 4x up to 1600x speed.
The battery capacity is 4160mAh, easily lasting for two days. It supports 20W fast charging, and the included charger supports 22.5W fast charging. However, wireless charging is not supported. The storage capacity is 128GB, but there is no external memory slot. This may feel inconvenient for those who record a lot of videos.

To solve the problem where messages come with vibration only and no notification display, the 'Allow Sound' feature must be turned on. Other small convenience features such as the IR remote control function, which allows controlling multiple home appliances with one smartphone, and the ability to share Wi-Fi network passwords via QR code, are useful.

Since domestic manufacturers are releasing mid-to-low-priced products tailored to Korean consumers' preferences, it seems difficult for Xiaomi to increase its market share solely based on cost-effectiveness. A 'wow point' that makes domestic consumers feel comfortable and willing to open their wallets is needed.
