Official Launch of 'Lead,' the Teacher, Expert, and Company Group Supporting E-Learning Globalization Projects
Ministry of Education Officializes with Launch Ceremony on the 25th
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] A specialized group led by teachers will be formed to globalize remote education.
The Ministry of Education announced on the 26th that it held the launch ceremony of the group 'LEAD,' which will lead the e-learning globalization project (ODA), on the afternoon of the 25th at the Sejong City Osong Hotel.
LEAD consists of 184 ICT leading teachers, 15 experts from the public, private, and academic sectors, and 11 edutech companies. They plan to conduct lectures for teachers in partner countries and provide training on related technologies. Through this launch ceremony, the e-learning globalization project will be supported more systematically. The Ministry of Education has been transferring e-learning experience annually to policymakers and teachers in developing countries and has been providing equipment and other support.

The launch ceremony was conducted in a hybrid format, both online and offline, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The Deputy Minister of Education of Moldova and the Ambassador of Paraguay to Korea also participated online.
